  • Carly you are a true inspiration. i just read the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by mark Haddon for school and I was wondering if you have ever heard of it and what your thoughts on the book were. Even though Christopher didn’t have autism, Asperger’s syndrome is similar right? Are the things he feels like what you feel? Does mark Haddon do you justice?

Dearest Carly and her amazing family-

I am brought to tears over your story on 20/20. You are teaching us about what it is to be Autistic…thank you for sharing. I am a mother and lucky I have to healthy children – however, your story has taught me to stop and listen to my children better. Thank you again.

    Dear Carly,

i m truely touched by all of you. i am currently volunteering for an autistic girl, she’s 11. her mum shared with us abt you and your website.

i think i m a really selfish person that by volunteering with the girl, i m always hoping to get her out of autism, so that she can be like ‘normal’ kid. i was really getting upset and disappointed, although there are improvements from her, she’s still far from being able to look after herself.

and now you inspired me, gave me all the hopes. Devlin may not be how i hope she will be, but i know now to never give up and i know for a fact that she’s actually a very smart girl, and one day, she’ll find her voice

    wish you all the best
