Carly does type on her own – without assistance

Submitted by admin on April 4, 2009 – 9:36 am2 Comments

We received so much feed back last night  – thanks to all for their support. One question that did come up multiple times as ” does Carly type on her own” – the answer is “YES”. You will be able to see Carly use the computer via video soon. We just have to get her on video and upload it to YouTube.

In the meantime, here is a photo of Carly on her computer.

I think this is wonderful. Your insight in invaluable. I have an autistic nephew. He is high functioning but has poor social skills and has trouble expressing himself. Instead he messes himself or has meltdowns. He is 9 years old. Seeing your story has helped me understand him better. I plan to share your story with him so he can know he is not alone. Thank you so much Carly and here’s to your future.

I saw you on 20/20 tonight.

I am glad to see that you have learnt to communicate with the outside world the way you have. Your personal situation provides insight on the nature of autism, and I think gives hope to many who have a similar condition.

Best wishes to you and your family from Lethbridge, Alberta.

    Regards; Terry
